Some so many talented coaches and consultants never launch their businesses because they can’t get enough clients. And even I was surprised by how difficult it was.

But when I had to get clients for myself, that was a different story.

Why is it that every time we have to do something for ourselves, it is so much more difficult?
And that’s when I realized that I needed a sales and marketing system. A digital marketing strategy to find clients online. Something that I could just rinse & repeat and I knew it would work for me.
It’s a trial-and-error journey at the beginning. It wasn’t easy at all. I’ve experienced a lot of failed projects but eventually, I managed to have a method that brought me clients.
A method that allowed me to launch my business and enabled me to work truly for myself.
I called this method the CreateGrowProfit Method because these were the exact 3 steps that I’ve seen work the best.

Three Steps to Catch up with the Clients
Step One: Create Your Content
This is where most new coaches and consultants fail.
They DO NOT create content, first. They are eager to create the perfect content, instead of creating lots of content.
And that is because there is a misconception about what content is.
The purpose of creating content is to build connections with your target audience.
Here are some ways you can build connections with your audience:
- You may create a short video greeting from your weekend trip
- Or a 20-minute highly valuable PowerPoint presentation about your expertise
Now, of course, you want to have a content strategy to be as efficient as possible, but what happens is that most people start to overthink it and instead of creating content, they are planning content.
If you’re just starting out, here’s what I recommend:
- Pick one platform
- Commit to creating content every day
I promise you, you’ll have no trouble finding your first few clients.
And if you are creating content every day and it’s not working, then reach out to me. There’s probably one little tweak that’s stopping you and I can usually spot that very quickly.
Step Two: Grow Your Audience
Step number two is growing your audience.
This is really the key to whether or not you’re going to have a successful business or if you’re going to be struggling.
Content is important, but that’s not where the money is. The money is in your AUDIENCE.
If you want to do online marketing and you want to work from home or anywhere you want to be in the world, then you need to build your own audience.
You can buy your audience. You can grow your audience organically. But ultimately you can’t be borrowing other people’s audiences forever.
You have to build your own audience.
But so many online businesses don’t have the patience to build their audience.
Especially when they’ve invested too much time and energy into creating content. They got their first few clients or customers, and now they just want to focus on profits.
That’s why they never thrive and never reach their dream coaching or consulting business.
The question is: How do you build your own audience?
The answer is: You build it through connections and relationships.
Building Connections and Relationships
To connect with the people who consume your content, you have to give them the simplest and easiest way to reach you. And you have to nurture that relationship.
Let me use myself as an example. As a coach or consultant, I created a guide that can help anyone to get their very first client online.
And here’s how they can reach me:
- Anyone can download my guide on how to get their very first client online. It’s free and available on my website creategrowprofit.com which I send to them via email.
- Once they’ve downloaded the guide they will be part of my email list. But instead of sending out sales newsletters, I write more personal emails where I send tips or ask questions.
- And at the end of every email, I ask people to reply and tell me their stories and ask me their questions.
Essentially, I make sure I have conversations with people.
I’m not just an abstract person blasting out information. I’m a real human. You can talk to me through:
- In the comment section under my video or my blog,
- Or through email
When you’re reaching this stage where you are having conversations with your audience, now’s the time to go to step number 3.
Step Three: Gaining Profits
I am not saying you’re not making any money at all up until this point.
It’s very important to always be selling and not miss out on opportunities with a new client. But we don’t want to be chasing after new clients all the time.
To build a life of freedom – financial freedom and time freedom, we need clients to come to us.
And that’s what the third step is all about.
So you’re creating excellent content and you’re growing an actual audience, now you have to craft the perfect offer and you’ll be signing up more clients than you’d ever thought possible.
What is the perfect offer? You may not know it, but your audience knows it. So ask them!
So how this will works?
- Ask your audience about their problems.
- Ask them if they are willing to pay for a solution to that problem.
- If they said yes, create an offer.
- Test it out.
- And every time one of these offers works, you’re growing your business.
This is really the dream stage we all want to reach:
We have people coming to us. Asking for help. We just serve them exactly what they want.
There you have it.

Morris, this is a helpful guide bro. Content sells passively. Relationships sell passively. But people need to blog and network actively, generously and patiently in order to enjoy progressive, passive client and customer acquisition. We need to get after it and dissolve fears manifest as mental blocks.
Great comparison, Ryan: Content & relationships (passive) VS blogging & networking (active). I’ve never thought about it like that but it makes sense when you put it like that. That also explains why so many new bloggers & content creators get frustrated when after creating 10 articles or 10 videos they made $0. But the networking and the relationships were the missing pieces.
