Ep. 53: How To Identify Your Coaching Niche

Define and communicate your niche effectively like this:

“I help [who] with [problem] using [methodology].”

My example:

“I help beginners with taking the right action using the research on self-talk and habit-building.”

Coach Ajit, in this insightful episode, guides us through the process of defining and communicating your niche effectively. As many new coaches grapple with the challenge of finding their niche, Coach Ajit sheds light on the misconception that coaching everyone is the best way to start, emphasizing the transformative power of having a clear and specific coaching niche, particularly when you’re just starting out.

In this episode, you will gain valuable insights into the significance of discovering your coaching niche and how it can be a game-changer for your coaching business. Coach Ajit emphasizes the idea that starting small can actually pave the way for expanding your coaching business in the long run.

Ep. 54: How To Get Clients Consistently

Problem: Constantly asking yourself “How to get clients?” is a wrong mindset.

Clients don’t want to work with a coach. Clients want to overcome a challenge.

Change mindset to:

  • “How am I creating results consistently?”
  • “How am I engaging in conversations consistently?”
  • “How am I being meaningful to my potential clients consistently?”

And maybe as an outcome, it creates a client.

Key factors here are: Marketing does not create clients. Value creates clients.

Value = Conversations, communication, products.

Paradigm shift:

  1. Everybody wants a better life.
→ That means there are infinite possibilities to enroll a client.
  2. We buy things that we believe will do what they say.
→ Prospects need to believe that you can create the outcome that you are promising that you will create.
  3. It’s not always the right time.
→ Not everybody is ready for change all the time.
→ Not everybody is ready to do the work or pay the money to have a better life.

Important quotes:

  • “Every interaction you have is an opportunity to nurture a relationship.”
  • “A relationship which has a mutual understanding that you are a powerful being that creates an impact in the person’s life.”
  • “A relationship where there is an understanding that the person is somebody who could meet their possibilities, meet their goals, live a better life by interacting with you.”
  • “So that they know, when the time is right, when they are ready, you are right there.”
  • “Constantly show up in the most powerful version of yourself in every conversation you are involved in.”
  • “I am not wondering I this person can be my client, I am showing up in the most powerful version of myself, hoping that when I leave that conversation, that person that I interacted with, felt better, felt elevated, got some value through that interaction.”
  • “I am intentional about creating that conversation powerfully, creating that impact powerfully.”

When ready to take on a new client:

  1. Reach out to such individuals who have already seen the impact that you have made in their lives without charging them a dime.
  2. Simply ask: “I am having an opening. Would you be interested?”

Build relationships through:

  • Social media
  • Advertising
  • 1-on-1 communication
  • Group communication
  • Speaking on stages
  • Hosting workshops
  • Podcast
  • YouTube

Pick one channel and one format that you like – and go with it!

Ep. 55: How To Stand Out As A Coach

Your authentic self:

  • Your unique experiences
  • Your unique understanding of things
  • Your unique methodology
  • Your unique reason why

→ Answer these questions.
→ Communicate it!

Find your values and what you stand for (“For-Values”):

  • Repeat your values everywhere: In signature, in communication, in email, etc.
  • Other people with the same values will resonate.

Find your “Against-Values”) = Things you are against and don’t want to happen around you.

Create a unique methodology, your own process:

  • Learn all about psychology and biology.
  • Map out your own process based on your understanding and integrating all your experiences.
  • It’s the same fundamentals but a unique experience for your clients.
  • Create your unique model about how you create impact I your clients’ lives.

Your business model:

  • Create your business model that you find joy in.
  • Stick to your business model and evolve it.
  • Build your audience and clientele around your business model.

Steps to stand out:

  1. Understand who you are and find your values → Communicate it frequently!
  2. Understand your methodology and how it creates impact → Communicate it frequently!
  3. Find a business model that speaks to your heart → Do that consistently.

Ep. 56: How Long Does It Take To Make Good Money As A Coach

My example calculation:

  • $10’000 per month
  • $3’000 per client
  • 3 clients per month
  • 25 conversations for 3 clients

Ep. 57: Steps To Start A New Coaching Business

First you must figure out two things:

  • Yourself.
  • Your methodology.

After that, these are the exact steps to starting a new coaching business:

  1. Who do you help? The more specific the better.
  2. What do you help with?
  3. How do you help them?
  4. What pain is gone when they work with you?
  5. How do you start a conversation? How needs the conversation to flow so you can make an offer? → Test it in the real world.
  6. Make the offer (free or paid).
→ Build confidence you can create results for clients and get testimonials.
  7. Structure your coaching as a package.
  8. Start offering your package.
  9. Critical: Make a business plan for 6-12 months.
